Hi Friends! I am here, joining Amy for the Currently Linkup. We are sharing what we are loving, baking/cooking, watching/reading, planning, and savoring.
Let's dish...
Loving
These things that have brought me JOY this winter...
Teas of course
Jeans...one of my fave brands....and one size down!
Custom Cups for the Mamas and Girls for their Senior Trip!
and this shirt for Diana ;)
Baking/Cooking
I am not really a baker...one of my favorite sweet treats nowadays, however, are the Protein Brownies from Prime Bites- delish!
I have been cooking meals which have a healthy balance of protein, fat and fiber- that is the golden recipe!
Watching/Reading
We watched "Ramona and Beezus" as a family...in our bed...last Friday night after the basketball game...it is rare to get Diana home on weekend nights but we lucked out and we loved reminiscing together and reminding each other how much this film is like our family...so grateful for this time together and the wonderful memories
I recently wrapped up another winner of a book by Freida McFadden- The Surrogate Mother- wow! If you haven't read it and you love thrillers, grab it!
But after years of failed infertility treatments and adoptions that have fallen through, it seems like motherhood is not in her future. That is, until her personal assistant Monica makes a generous offer that will make all of Abby's dreams come true.
But it turns out Monica isn't who she says she is. The woman now carrying Abby's child has an unspeakable secret.
And she will stop at nothing to get what she wants.
Planning
Diana's Graduation Party
I know..already...just planning out the menu and the cooking that my mom and I will be doing...deciding if we should rent a tent or not...as well as tables and chairs...all in the works...I like not being rushed :)
Savoring
Our time at home as a family of four...with Remi of course...I am savoring the days that Diana is home with us...grateful she won't be far during college but still...the family dynamic will change for sure.

I don't think it's too soon to start planning. Grad parties are not for the faint of heart (you got this- your party planning skills were made for a time such as this) and take time to do well. The party will be amazing! You will love having Diana not too far away from home even though your family dynamic will change for sure. I don't think I ever saw the Romona movie- I will have to check that out.
ReplyDeleteYou did such a great job with your grad parties-always inspired by you. Check out that movie- so so sweet
DeleteThe protein brownies sound like a good snack. Congrats on down a size in your jeans Holly! I love books by Freida McFadden and enjoyed the movie. I hope you enjoy the rest of the week and stay warm.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Julie!
DeleteYay for jeans one size down; that is such a wonderful feeling when you can SEE the hard work paying off. I think it's smart to start planning the grad party early. Especially if you end up opting not to host it yourself as venues book up quickly. We worked hard to work around the plans of all of Alec's friends too so they could all attend each other's parties.
ReplyDeleteSo thoughtful of you! We decided to schedule the party the same weekend as the actual graduation so Zach and Zoe could celebrate with us :)
DeleteWe are planning Ella's grad party as well. :(
ReplyDeleteHow are we here? :(
DeleteOh, thinking about you as you plan that party. I know you will have such a great one but yes, can't imagine all the work it entails. And I love those senior trip cups -- they're so fun and what a great souvenir!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Thought they would be fun :)
DeleteThank you for linking up! Yay on one jeans size down - you go girl!
ReplyDeleteYou need to read the book I'm reading now because it's set in Aruba! That was also my honeymoon!
Ok! Looking at your blog now to figure out which book it is- thanks Amy!
DeleteI love party planning and it's never too early : ) It's funny how the dynamic shifts with just one less child living at home year round. You get used to the new though, and you will enjoy the one at home so much. Aruba sounds so nice right about now. I love it there.
ReplyDeleteLove the way you think :)
