This month, we are talking Holiday Happenings and Ringing in the New Year...so much fun...can't wait to see all of your traditions and advice.

1. What holidays do you celebrate?

Christmas and New Year's :)

 


 

2. Scale of 1-10.  How into the holidays are you this year?  Be honest.

3. Favorite Things To Make/Bake During the Holidays?

All the fish for Christmas Eve (Lobster Risotto is a family fave- you can find my Recipe HERE )

 




 4. Favorite Holiday Movies

 


Christmas Vacation- White Christmas- It's A Wonderful Life - The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year

 

 

5. Most Random Holiday Tradition?

 


I guess visiting the cemeteries?  I should do it all year long...I always make the extra effort around the holidays though 

 

 6. Are you hosting for the holidays?  New Year's Eve or Day?

 


I am hosting our parents and my brother, as always, on Christmas Eve.  I also host Christmas Morning- all the kids come home and we have a big breakfast.

 

On New Year's Eve we are going to Lea and Mike's and not sure what yet on NYD- probably a nice quiet day with hopefully a walk on the rail trail! 

 

 7. Favorite Way To Ring In the New Year?


 

With our Besties and bonus is when the kids are around too :) 

 

 

8. Any New Years Resolutions or Words of the Year?

 

I don't make resolutions anymore...I typically choose a word for my year...this past year was 

 


9. Favorite Holiday Songs?

 


Oh Holy Night- All I Want For Christmas Is You- Underneath The Tree- Barenaked Ladies and Sara McLaughlin's Version of "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen"


10. Favorite Holiday Memory?

 

Mass and Dinner with Our Grandparents and Extended Family on Christmas Eve...just so magical...everyone was alive and together and hopeful

  8. What a sweet memory. I printed your lobster risotto recipe and am going to make it in the new year. If we're home alone on NY Eve maybe then, but otherwise I think for Valentine's Day we'll try it. Merry Christmas!
