2. Dictionary.com's word of the year is '6-7'.
What do you think?
Dictionary. com says it's selection each year is a 'linguistic time capsule reflecting social trends and events, but they also admitted to being confused by '6-7'. Some say it means so-so and is sometimes accompanied by the up and down hand motion we associate with the phrase so-so.
Hysterical! Oh the kids will eat this up...doesn't even mean much...just so funny that it stuck!
What word do you think would have made a better choice?
Ummm...I am not mad about this word...I think it was the perfect choice for this year
3. What's a food, trend, activity, or thing people love but you think is just so-so?
Pickle Ball...can't even say I have tried it but seems like the newest fad and people are getting hurt left and right...I hear it is rough on the knees
4. Are you a tea drinker? Hot or cold? How do you like yours and at what time of day? Do you like flavored teas or teas billed as calming, energizing, healing, etc?
I drink cold, healthy teas now daily...I was an avid coffee drinker but once I discovered the different Herbalife teas...I was a goner...I make them at home now to save money and I need them! :)
5. The November Hodgepodge has always included a weekly gratitude question. Here's the question for today-what are three things that make your heart sing?
My family- My friends- My home
6. Insert your own random thought here.
A local news anchor who we watch daily, nailed it on the head for Halloween! She and her family went out as "Back to The Future"- I am obsessed!
That's a wrap!

You can probably name fun traditions for each month of the year :). I love all your traditions, btw. I wish that I had more than I do!! I don't drink cold teas as much as warm ones but I should look into the healthy cold teas. (Diet Peach Snapple is likely not healthy, lol.) Great pic and great list of what you're thankful for! Have a great one!
ReplyDeleteI totally get why you like the Snapple Diet Peach Tea- that is one of my faves too :) Thank you for your kind words- I love traditions if you couldn't tell ;)
DeleteWhat a cute costume! My son-in-law is an orthopedic surgeon and the pickle ballers keep them in business these days. ER docs too. One of our neighbors fell and had a brain bleed that was very serious. We played some before I broke my elbow (not playing pickleball) but haven't since then. I understand the appeal because it was fun, but I don't want another injury. I'd like an invite to your risotto night-sounds so fun and we love Orin Swift wines. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteWell I am glad someone is benefiting from this sport- ha! ;) You are welcome anytime Joyce!
DeleteI'm visiting from the Hodgepodge! The family costumes from Back to the Future are great!!
ReplyDeleteAren't those costumes genius?! :)
DeleteIt sounds like a good plan for November!
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of anyone playing Pickle ball here but I imagine they do.
Ahh! The Halloween costumes did make me smile.
November should be a good month!
DeleteThose costumes are fabulous! What a fun family costume idea. Your teas always look so yummy. I am a sucker for a good flavored iced tea.
ReplyDeleteRight? I want to do this!
DeleteThat's the cutest family Halloween costume. I said pickleball too - I just don't get it. Hope you're having a wonderful Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteGreat minds think alike Tanya- no thank you ;)
DeleteCould you share your tea recipe you make at home?
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely- I will do a post about it for you! Check it out tomorrow (bonus post on a Saturday)
DeleteAll the November things! You’re going to have so much fun. You’re the first to say that you like the 6-7 word of the year (that I have seen so far!). The Back to the Future theme is so cute!
