Hi Friends and welcome to Monthly Musings with Patty and me! We are so glad you are here! Once a month, we chat about some of our favorite topics. This month, we are talking all things Spring...from hosting and decorating to gardening!
BUT FIRST
Happy 11th Birthday to Eva a.k.a PIDGE!! My girl is growing so fast!
She is our old soul, our smart girl, our future President, our athlete, our loyal friend and best daughter and sister around! We love you Pidge XOXO so excited to celebrate you!
Back to Monthly Musings...Hope you will join us...we are answering the questions below...
So here we go....
1. Do you celebrate Easter, Passover or another holiday in spring?
We celebrate Easter and the entire Holy Week in the Catholic Church!
2. Do you plant a garden? Any tips for those without a green thumb?
Can you tell this was one of my questions? I love to plant flowers...I also enjoyed planting veggies years ago but over the last few years, I haven't had much success....any Green Thumbs out there? Need advice please! Thank you :)
3. How do you decorate for spring?
We decorate for Easter inside...bunnies...eggs...little Easter touches...for spring, I start making more flower arrangements and then we plant flowers outside to brighten up the yard
7. Favorite Beverage or Cocktail that makes you think of spring?
White Wine- A White Sangria or even a fruity cocktail
8. Vegetable garden? Flower Garden? Both? Neither?
I would say BOTH...I so want to rock both...depending on you all for tips!
9. Favorite Easter/Passover Candy?
Cadbury Mini Eggs...they have surpassed many others over the years :)
10. Marshmallow Peeps? Gross or yes please?
They are ok...I prefer to decorate with them ;)
Your Peeps vase is so cute! Here we have heat so an indoor backup is also key. Our new outdoor dining space is shady and we have a ginormous fan so it is working out well. Happy birthday to your Pidge! She seems like a remarkable girl and I hope you have a fun day celebrating her.
ReplyDeleteHolly, this was a fun topic for this month. I hope you have a happy spring!
ReplyDeletePeeps do make for some pretty decorations!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your girl! That table floral centerpiece is beautiful and so festive! Cadbury Eggs are a favorite of mine too. Have a great day and thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Pidge! I hope she has an amazing day!! I am with you on the mini eggs! Those were the first candy I opened from the pounds my brother got me! One thing that may make veggie gardening hard for you is your wooded lot. You probably have lots of critters. Our lot is not so pretty but it means we don't have deer living nearby!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your sweet Eva! Our second daughter is also an old soul! Mini cadbury eggs are our favorites, too... we're not especially fon of Peeps, but I love the way you've used them to decorate!
ReplyDeleteI love your Easter decor and Happy Birthday to your sweet girl. Thanks for being the Best blogging partner ever.

I love to plant flowers! I've just started to master it the last few years. I never plant until Mother's Day or after in Cincinnati, it could always freeze before then. I put a little bit of Miracle Grow in the bottom of each plant, water the soil, plant the flowers, & then water again! I can't wait to plant this year!
ReplyDeleteI hope Eva had the best birthday. Having a plan B is a great idea when hosting. We have the same fave Easter candy. The peeps decorations and flowers are cute!
