Hi Friends! I need to thank Jen for sharing this Gratitude Challenge for November. I am going to give it a shot. Mirabelle Creations threw it out there so why not?
This is my first day so I am going to cover the first 5 days of November...here we go....
Day 1
Three Things You Are Grateful For Today
1.
2.
3.
Day 2
Three Things You Love About Your Favorite Place
The Salt Water
The Sun
The Peace
Day 3
Remember the last time you laughed so hard you cried
It was probably a time when my brother was regaling us with his dating tales...usually it happens during a family dinner at my parents...he is just so funny to me and he always provides us with good belly laughs....the ones that make it hard to breathe!
Day 4
Someone from your past you are grateful for
My Grandparents- I got to meet and spend quality time with three out of my four grandparents....I pray to them often...they definitely helped shape me
Day 5
A fear you are tackling or have overcome
Flying...I have come a long way in the last 10 years...I hate it but I do it because I want to see the world...I used to avoid it at all costs but one day woke up and said I am tired of feeling like I am missing out on life and adventures and I just went with it...as a result my girls have become great travelers too...they love to fly and they love hotels...ha!!
Hi Friends and Happy Monday! I am here with Sarah and we are chatting about our weekends! We hope you will join us!
Friday Night
Well the last regular season football game happened but Diana's coach wouldn't let them cheer at it- she had them practice for comp instead- can you tell that is not sitting well with me? I still headed to dinner and the game with friends in Manchester.
We lost again- rough season but someone this team made it to playoffs- what the what? Yup. The playoff game will be Friday night but TBD on cheerleaders being there...we shall see.....
Dinner was fun...so I will give the night that
Saturday
I brought Diana to an appointment and then we headed to Playa Bowls to Fuel Up
Then I got to relax for awhile and watch some Hallmark :)
Meanwhile in Enfield CT, there was lots of hockey happening AND Eva scored her first goal of the season :)
Later, I brought Diana to her friend's house so they could make HOCO bouquets together and take some pics
Then I picked her up and we waited for Tommy and his Mom to come over for pics....they finally arrived....and the moms got to meet each other for the first time...
I just love Tommy's Mom- we laughed and said we are instant besties- we seriously got along SO WELL :)
Anyway, check out these movie stars....
and their "Stepbrothers Pose" ha!
Tommy and Cindy
Then it was time to head to the big picture house with some cheer friends- the kids were mostly seniors- it was a really fun setup and Cindy and I stayed for a glass of wine
The kids had a blast- loved getting all the tea after
Sunday
Our
weekend was so crazy...and we were dividing and conquering all weekend
so I decided to force some family time and got everyone up and out of
the house pretty early to have breakfast together at Mary Ann's
diner...I knew I made the right decision when no one complained and we
actually had a great time and had some laughs and Rob told me after he
was glad I did that- Praise God!
After
breakfast, he and Eva along with Papa headed to another hockey game. I
dropped Diana off at the high school to catch the comp bus and I drove
up to Concord.
Everyone met me there later for Diana's first cheer comp of the season.
There
was so much competition and usually Windham places first in D2 but this
year, they moved up to D1 and they didn't even place. It is a huge
step. They did well though and we were proud of all of their hard work.
Check out their routine...
After...with her fan club...
After that, Tommy picked up Diana from the high school and they enjoyed their Panera dinner at one of the fire pits at Tuscan Village- so cute
The rest of us headed to New England Tap House for a yummy dinner and then to Eva's first hockey game with the Windham Middle School program- so fun!
They lost but it was a great game and Eva is learning to "play up"...the skill on this team is like nothing she has experienced and it will push her to becoming better!
As you can see, it was a full and exciting weekend and also exhausting but I am grateful!
