Random Thoughts...I just love....
Tyler Florence
Rachel Ray
cranberries
The way Diana says "nnnooooo!!!" (espcially during the Elmo section of Sesame Street when Elmo asks the kids questions...her answer is always "nnoooooo!")
Halloween
Michael Kors
Cass...Laurie...Beth...Heather...Trish and all of my loyal and (some new) Windham friends...don't know what I would do without them..can't imagine that I ever lived without them...such a blessing when different people come into your life at different times
Rizzotto Balls!
The way I got the love of Halloween from my dad...love watching Disney's Ichabod and the Headless Horseman each year with the kiddos and Rob...I used to watch it with my dad every year and he would always say "I love it because it used to scare the shit out of me when I was a kid" priceless!
and...my mother always being Harriett the Homemaker..would sit us down for a "light supper" before going Trick-or-Treating each year...the "light supper" was cheese souffle...I can still taste it..and remember sitting with my brother at the drop-leaf table in front of the bay window as the sky turned dusky outside...warms my heart
watching a football team...at the high school level...decide to wear pink in their homecoming game...in honor of a very special woman from town (mom of one of their teammates) who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer...then chatting with her after her 15 hour surgery and all she could do was smile and tell me how great she is feeling...really puts much into prospective...unreal
Glee! Can't explain it...a high school show that focuses on the Glee geeks and the football team for the most part...guess I could relate as I gravitated towards both of these groups
The way "Party in the USA" by Miley Cyrus came on the radio at 5:10pm every day that I took the boys home from football practice
Running and getting back into it
Trish's cranberry goat cheese appetizers...so festive
Yogi detox tea
American Eagle
photographing people in love
Fois's espresso brownies....not only did he come to Zack's homecoming game BUT made a batch of brownies for our family and they are a Wolfgang Puck recipe AND deadly
Radio Flyer
Modern Family
some of the kids new slang words....Biznatches and Shiznit...just kill me
our new pastor
my sweet...warm...cuddly little girl...just trying to hold on to as many of these moments as possible

Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular 2009
So as I have written in a previous post, this event was one of our favorite family traditions each year.
We have been unable to attend the last four years or so as the event moved inside to the Bay Side Expo Center in Boston and the cost was out of sight.
Well this year, this awesome show returned to the outdoors at Roger Williams Park Zoo in Providence, RI. It did not disappoint.
We all trekked it down (in the rain) including Monk and had a blast.
The rain only hit us once in the form of a drizzle and it was super-warm so we all bundled up and ended up being dry and kinda warm!
We had some funny times, especially in the motel and do I hope this tradition continues.
There were pumpkins to please all of us...the Beatles for Rob...the Legend of Sleepy Hollow for me (including the Disney soundtrack playing!), Miley Cirus for Zack, Sesame Street for Monk, Twilight for Kayla and Michael Jackson and others for Ally.
Enjoy the pix...I think we got some great ones this year! :)
WHS Jaguars Football Team "For a Cause"
As you know, Zack is a proud Jaguar. He is #56 on the WHS Football team and he is a true leader.
He was named one of the captains again; this time for the big homecoming game against rival- the Pelham Pythons.
The game was close and exciting but in the end the Jaguars were defeated 12-6.
What has impressed me most with this team is their undying spirit and unity. They have learned what it is like to face the toughest life situations that we are sometimes burdened with. One of their team members' mom has been diagnosed with breast cancer. As a result, the boys decided to wear pink for awareness. As you will see in this only picture I took (as it was a monsoon!), their socks are glowing brightly!
Very touching....very inspiring...and proud to be a parent even more so :)
Zack's WHS Homecoming Dance- 2009
Windham High School held their very first homecoming dance on Friday night and Zack did not disappoint the crowd. Dressed in his Dad's best (ha ha), he wowed! I had the pleasure of driving him and his buds and it is always fun to hear the boys gossip.
Though they are not as loose-lipped as they were in middle school, I get pleasure out of the little things.
It was a fun night...had a couple of my gal pals over to keep me company while the boys danced it up at the high school :)

Getting Ready for Halloween!
This is one of our favorite times of year...don't get me wrong...I am a Spring and Summer girl but the magic of Halloween has been stronger and stronger each year as I got to share in my step children's excitement and now Diana's. Although she does not know what is going on yet...she is a ham..born into a family of hams and she is already basking in the glow of this spooky time of year!
These were the only half normal shots to come out when I put her costume on her for our cards...and then I snapped a few of my holiday decorating.
We are very excited for next weekend! Zack's WHS homecoming game is in the morning and then at night we are heading to Jack-o-lantern Spectacular at the Roger Williams Park Zoo. This was one of our traditions that stopped for awhile when the show moved to Boston. It became too expensive for us to attend. This year, it is back at the Roger Williams Park Zoo in Providence and we can enjoy it again with Diana (because we have been saving for it) AND Cass, Steve and Alexis will be joining us! Stay tuned for the post-spectacular post!
I have included a few pix from the past shows we attended too
